Chef Joao Faraco was voted the best in The Canaries. Now he has opened a restaurant in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote, so we had to try it.
MargheRita serves traditional thin crust pizza and an intriguing chicken salad sandwich. Based in Puerto Calero, with great views of the marina.
I was surprised at how easy it was to walk from Puerto del Carmen to Puerto Calero at the weekend. I started my walk from Playa Chica
This a a lovely walk from Puerto Calero, which takes you to the next village along the coast – Playa Quemada. Not strenuous and cold beer at the finish!
