We wrote about UD Lanzarote’s walking football team some time ago.
The team has gone from strength to strength over the last few years, and their hard work and regular training has culminated in a win in an over 50’s tournament in Sevilla on the Spanish mainland.
The boys beat Real Betis in the group stages, defeated a very strong Sevilla side, with home advantage in the semi final and the final was a nail biter against Malaga, before Lanzarote finally won on penalties.
Well done to the team, and here’s to lots more future success for them.
