This year is turning out to be another busy one here in Lanzarote and we know many of you have booked to come out with your kids.
We thought we’d pull together a list of things you can do with them if the thought of another day at the beach or around the pool is just too much for them to bear!
Visit Rooftop – Puerto del Carmen
The Rooftop Entertainment complex at the Biosfera Shopping Centre is heaven for kids of all ages – crazy golf, a 6D simulator, and open air cinema and fabulous food, drink and views. Rooftop.
Visit Rancho Texas – Puerto del Carmen
Rancho Texas is great fun for kids and adults. The animals there are enchanting and interesting, and nobody has to miss out on pool time when there – they have a great water park you can spend time at.
Buy Rancho Texas tickets.
Sail With Catlanza – Puerto Calero
Catlanza is the amazing 75 foot Catamaran that sails from Puerto Calero to Papagayo. They have specific family sailings, and the kids will love it aboard! Catlanza anchors off the fabulous beaches at Papagayo, where you can enjoy a Jet Ski ride, do some snorkelling and where lunch is served. The price includes transfers from resort, lunch, free flow drinks and lots of entertainment for the children. Find out more here: Catlanza.
Enjoy some watersports – Playa Chica, Puerto del Carmen
Head down to the little beach in Puerto del Carmen and you can enjoy jet skis and parascending.
Visit The Pirate Museum – Teguise
Kids love pirates, and the pirate museum is situated, ironically, in the castle built to protect the people from the pirates – the castillo perched on the hill above Teguise!
Note. This is currently closed for refurbishment – we’ll update here as soon as it opens.
Hire a Pedaloe – Puerto del Carmen and Playa Blanca
There are pedaloes for hire at both Playa Grande and Playa Dorada, which are a great way to get afloat in The Atlantic!
Do a Try Dive – Any Resort
A fabulous experience for older children is to experience the undersea life on the island.
Ten Pin Bowling – Deiland Shopping Centre, Playa Honda
There’s a small bowling alley upstairs at Deiland, and next door there is a KFC and a Burger King!
Race Go Karts – San Bartolomé
The kart track at San Bartolomé is great fun, with karts to suit kids to adults and a great bar to relax in between races.
Visit The Aquarium – Costa Teguise
The aquarium is a worthwhile visit for a few hours – they even have a sea horse tank there!
Visit The Water Park – Playa Blanca
Aqua Lava is a great water park in Playa Blanca, with plenty of slides and rapid pools to enjoy.
That’s a random ten for you.
