“Consume Lanzarote” is an island wide campaign to encourage spending in local businesses. It will start on Monday, 12th of October and will finish on Sunday, 29th of November 2020.
Each week the campaign will take place in each of the seven municipalities of the island:
– From the 12th to the 18th of October: San Bartolomé.
– From the 19th to the 25th of October: Tías
– From the 26th of October to the 1st of November: Tinajo
– From the 2nd to the 8th of November: Haría
– From the 9th to the 15th of November: Yaiza
– From the 16th to the 22nd of November: Teguise
– From the 21st to the 29th of November: Arrecife
During 7 weeks, Lanzarote will become a massive shopping centre, promoting products and promotions from the participating establishments on Social Media and the press.
For every €10 spent, consumers get an entry on the draw. For example, a ticket for a sale of €38.70 will obtain 3 participations. You will need to load the photo of the tickets to the app to register your entry.
Once a week, on Mondays at 20h, there will be a draw via social media. A lucky winner will be awarded with vouchers worth €1,050 – a series of seven €150 vouchers to be spent in each municipality.
Each municipality voucher is broken down into 4 amounts: 2 of €50 plus 2 of €25 that will need to be spend on different participating establishment. The idea being that as many shops in each municipality as possible benefit from the campaign.
Any establishments wishing to participate will need to pay a €15 fee registration, which is how vouchers are financed. The campaign needs 490 establishments to participate for it to be a success. At the time of the campaign being announced on the 7th of October, 2020 there were 360 registered establishments already.
Any businesses wanting to take part, they are still on time to register here: www.consumelanzarote.es Don’t wait to long!
In case the goal number of participating businesses not being reached, the value of the prize vouchers might be lower accordingly.
Each weekly winner will be announced on the day of the draw and they have 24 hours to claim it. Winners will need to identify themselves the following day with an ID (D.N.I., N.I.E. or driver’s license) and agree to have your photo taken when collecting the prize and their use on social media.

Gastro Tour
Alongside “Consume Lanzarote”, the 1st Island Tapa Tour of Lanzarote will take place under the name of “Gastro Tour”.
The system is quite similar to any other local tapa tours that you might be familiar with: participating bars and restaurants will create a tapa and the most voted tapa will win the contest.
Tapas will be priced at €4 which as usual, will be including a drink which can be a glass of wine, a “botellín” (small beer bottle), a small glass of beer or a soft drink.
Voting will be done via the same app and the period to sample the tapas will coincide with the week of the municipality where the establishment is located.
There is a €100 dinner which will be given out in a prize draw for people using the app to vote.
It’s not easy getting information about which restaurants are participating in this event, but we’ll publish the details here when we do.
