Charity Corner: SARA Marathon Mission Lanzarote

On the 6th of December of 2025, Richard Meek will take on the incredible challenge of running all 42.2km of the marathon as part of the annual Lanzarote International Marathon to raise funds for the well-known Animal Shelter “SARA”.

“SARA”, the island’s largest cat and dog shelter, announced earlier this year that it costs the staggering amount of €350,000 to run their organisaton, annually. So every euro they can get helps them to continue saving lives.
