The 2025 “Concurso Oficial de Quesos Agrocanarias” took place on the 9th and the 10th of July in our very own Jameos del Agua here in Lanzarote.
The ruling was only was announced on the 8th of August in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, granting a total of 61 awards: 56 medals (27 great gold medals, 22 gold medals and 7 silver medals) plus 5 distinctions.






Out of the 73 participant cheesemakers with the grand total of 226 samples, Lanzarote has been awarded 8 medals (3 less than last year) to 5 different cheesemakers:
Finca de Uga, Quesería El Faro and Quesería Rubicón with 2 medals each and Quesería Montaña Blanca and Quesería Filo El Cuchillo with 1 medal each.
By types of medals, Lanzarote has taken home:
5 Grand Gold medals,
2 Gold medals and
1 Silver medal.

Pasteurized Semi-Cured Cheese:
Queso de cabra “Guatisea” from Quesería Montaña Blanca – Grand Gold medal

Pasteurized Aged Cheese:
Queso de oveja “Bodega” from Finca de Uga – Grand Gold medal
Raw Milk Soft Goat Cheese:

Raw Milk Semicured Goat Cheese:
