It may seem a bit weird to be lusting after a Sunday roast dinner in Lanzarote, but many of our visitors still want their weekly fix of meat and veg at the weekend. We can’t imagine eating a full roast dinner during the hot summer months, fresh fish by the sea is our thing, but you might find us tucking into a roast occasionally on a cooler day.
Here’s three places we would recommend trying for a traditional Sunday lunch in Costa Teguise:
The Dolphin Inn
This waterfront bar has a great atmosphere, friendly staff and a sea view if you’re looking for the latest sports action combined with a Sunday roast. You can combine a choice of meat, which is served with roast potatoes, mashed potato, Yorkshire pudding, carrots, peas, cauliflower and gravy. Freshly cooked to order, priced at €8.95. Situated on the promenade over looking playa Las Cucharas beach.
As far as we know, this is the only carvery to be found in Costa Teguise. There are 4 meat joints, a varied choice of fresh vegetables (brocolli, cauliflower, sprouts, carrots, green beans & cabbage) roast potatoes, mashed potato, Yorkshire pudding, stuffing and gravy. Priced at €8.95. Situated within the Oceano Apartments on Avenida del Jablillo in the centre of the resort.
There’s a choice of lamb, turkey or Chicken at €9, beef rib €9.50 and large beef rib €12.50 with a Sunday roast at the Clockhouse Tavern, served from 12:00 to 18:00. The meat is served with roast potatoes, mashed potato and a variety of seven fresh vegetables with a rich gravy. Horseradish and cranberry sauce accompaniments available. Situated on Calle la Rosa, just off the Avenida del Mar in the Playa Bastian area of the resort.
