We were contacted by author Franzeska Ewart some time ago. She was planning a new book, and she wanted to base it on the island of Lanzarote. Her initial contact was to ask us about some specific parts of Arrecife and if they were there in the period in which the book was set. We were happy to help.
Some time later Franzeska contacted us again and told us she was travelling to the island. So we met up with her for a coffee and answered a whole series of questions about the island. We were also delighted to be able to read the initial draft of the book and correct some very minor factual errors.
The book is finally out, and it’s a cracker! A love story weaves it’s way in and out of the prose and it’s spicy, humorous, at times breathless and is full of fascinating characters. If you know Lanzarote, you’ll recognise many of the places that appear in the book.

The book is called: The Silver Guide of Sadie Grey: A Lanzarote Love Story.
It’s available on Amazon now: A Lanzarote Love Story.
Here’s the official blurb:
Writer Sadie Grey (48 and counting …) is not best pleased when her agent sends her to Lanzarote to write a travel guide for the over-65s, but no sooner has she set foot on the magical volcanic island than she meet the man of her dreams. Then another. And another
And when artist Willow Glass enters the mix. there’s even more drama – this time of the heart-stoppingly terrifying variety!
All in all, it’s a mind-blowing trip, and it changes Sadie’s life – and her writing – for ever.
