Luxury Lanzarote

Hesperia Lanzarote

Most people think of Lanzarote as an inexpensive family destination, but we also have an upmarket side to the island, and plenty of people enjoy luxury holidays here.

Let’s explore some of the things that you can do on your holiday to make it a little bit special:

Stay in a five star hotel

We have more than our fair share of luxury five star hotels on the island. Starting with the Cesar Manrique designed Melia Salinas, which features the amazing water bungalows and a stunning indoor tropical garden – this was the island’s first five star.

Moving along the coast, we have the Gran Hotel in Arrecife, the island’s only high rise building, with stunning views and right on EL Reducto beach. Even if you don’t choose to stay there, head up to the top floor restaurant for coffee and a cake.

Next we have Secrets Lanzarote in Puerto Calero, a modern offering, but built in a style that’s sympathetic to the island’s heritage. Secrets “flows” down to a small private beach area and has a fantastic spa.

Finally, we have a pair of five stars in Playa Blanca, the spectacular Volcan which has a man made volcano over the swimming pool area, and the Princesa Yaiza where every room is a suite. The latter features an authentic Japanese restaurant.

In Puerto del Carmen we have La Isla y El Mar Boutique 5 star hotel and the Lava Beach Hotel.

And the island’s first hotel – The Fariones, re-opened as a Five Star in 2021.

Alternatively you could stay in a super luxurious villa.

Eat in a top class restaurant

Lanzarote has so many top class luxury restaurants, it’s almost unfair to select a few as examples, but we’re simply going to tell you about OUR favourites for a special treat meal.

Our first choice would be La Cabaña in Macher, a small intimate place where Darren weaves magic all the time.

In the centre of the island, we’d go for Palacio Ico in Teguise, which delivers top class cuisine, using fresh local produce.

Then there’s the stunning Kamezi in Playa Blanca, with the most amazing tasting menu.

And our final choice would be to visit Serenity in Puerto del Carmen.

Hire a nice car

Most people end up hiring the usual Clio or Hyundai. But did you know that some of the car hire companies run much more exotic stuff?

We can offer, Teslas, Audis, Mercs, Range Rovers and more!
