Lanzarote Restaurant Review – N10 Gastrobar, Costa Teguise

N10 Gastrobar

You might recognise the team from N10 Gastrobar – they used to run the restaurant El Navarro in the same line of businesses directly opposite the Coronas Playa Hotel in Costa Teguise.

We’d heard that N10 Gastrobar offers an interesting range of tapas style dishes, many with a twist, and that turned out to be true. We decided to go for a selection of dishes from the regular menu, although there were several daily specials which were explained to us.

Arepas  Chicken

We had hummus served with pita bread – perfectly spiced and full of flavour, baked goat’s cheese with a mango chutney, which was superb and bursting with taste and crispy chicken in breadcrumbs served with a spicy sauce – although it was top quality breast meat, I found that a little bland. But the dish of the day for me was the pork arepas – for those who don’t know, arepas are made from ground maize and are a little like pita breads. The pork was perfectly cooked and the arepas well well stuffed with salad, and accompanied by a really spicy sauce.

The rest of the menu consists of interesting mediterranean and Spanish options, and they offer vegetarian dishes.

We washed it all down with a couple of glasses of the excellent house wine. The service was really excellent – the gaps between dishes were perfect and we were attended quickly every time we wanted something. The staff are all bilingual and we heard them speaking excellent English.

You might be put off when you first arrive, as the tables are plastic, and outside it has a bit of a “Café” feel, but rest assured the food is top class, and you’ll find inside that it’s very modern and clean, and the bathrooms are spotlessly clean as well.

Highly recommended for light bites and drinks at any time of day. They are closed on Mondays and open from 1PM to 11PM.

N10 Gastrobar is on  Avenida del Mar in Costa Teguise.

NB. Please note that we do not get paid or receive free food for our food reviews, nor do we alert the restaurant in advance or during our meal. We simply eat and if we’ve enjoyed it, we’ll share our experience with you.
