Lisa Yengeni and Khanya Matomela, aka, Ginger & Spice, are couple with their eyes firmly fixed on the future, and they are currently delighting audiences on the hotel circuit in Lanzarote.
Having been on the island for a mere four months, they are loving their experience of life on the island.
They have come from the busy city of Port Elizabeth, South Africa, and have made the brave decision to resign from their full-time permanent positions, to take this opportunity to focus on their music and do what they do best.

Lisa explains, “Like everyone else Covid set us back in our music career. But the time is right now for us to take this big step and walk away from the secure life we had in Port Elizabeth and take the opportunity to focus on our music for the months ahead.”
Their music is wide ranging and they are equally comfortable as solo artists. Lisa has a sweet enchanting voice, pure in its clarity whilst Khanya is the perfect counter balance in voice and on keyboard, making their duets a melting pot of soul and country.
Their blend of soul and dance music quickly fills the dance floor as who can resist their toe tapping joyful rhythm. Their love of music stems from an introduction at a young age by their musical families. With Khanya’s father, being both a vocalist and drummer, and Lisa’s father a choir conductor it’s perhaps unsurprising that music was and is a major part of their lives.
Lisa and Khanya are currently one third of the way through their 12 month contract with Romantic Corp. Their aim is to secure a residency where they hope to share their love of music and continue life as full time musicians. You can catch their unique blend of music in Playa Blanca at, H10 Lanzarote Princess, H10 Rubicon Palace and Iberostar Hotel; in Puerto Del Carmen at, San Antonio, Plus Fariones and Jameos Beach Hotel and at Costa Teguise at HD Beach, Barcelo Active Resort or Barcelo Beach Hotel.
