Earlier in June 2026 the 5th “Concurso de Quesos de Lanzarote”, the Lanzarote Cheese Awards, were held in Teguise as part of the Livestock, Agricultural and Fishing Fair that took place at the Agroindustrial Complex.
It is organised by AQUAL -the Association of Artisan Cheese of Lanzarote, FASAT -Federation of Farming and Fishing Associations- and the Cabildo of Lanzarote.
18 prizes were awarded to 8 local cheesemakers. These are the winners by category:
