On the 7th of June 2024 the 3rd “Concurso de Quesos de Lanzarote”, the Lanzarote Cheese Awards, was held in Teguise as part of the Livestock, Agricultural and Fishing Fair that took place at the Agroindustrial Complex. The Awards Ceremony was held the following day.
It is organised by AQUAL -the Association of Artisan Cheese of Lanzarote, FASAT -Federation of Farming and Fishing Associations and the Cabildo of Lanzarote.
18 prizes were awarded to 18 different cheeses from 9 local cheesemakers. These are the winners by category:
