July is the beginning of harvest in Lanzarote – because of our weather, we have the earliest wine harvest in Europe.
- The Malvasia grapes are being picked already, although some are left on the vine for sweeter wines
- As always, the weather plays a really important part in the decision as to when to pick, and we’ve had very hot days in July
- It’s going to be a decent harvest and the quality will be high
- The Wine Tours team are helping once again this year to gather the grapes in.
