Hiking Routes In San Bartolomé

San Bartolomé Town Council is launching a new Local Trails Network, an initiative which will offer seven free guided walks to showcase the municipality’s natural, historical, cultural and ethnographic heritage, between the months July and December in 2026.

The initiative aims to foster a model of sustainable tourism, promote healthy lifestyles and provide both residents and visitors with knowledge and experiences of the most representative areas of the municipality.

It represents an opportunity to continue showcasing the richness of the municipality from a perspective that respects the environment and it’s linked to its identity. Its goal is for residents and visitors alike to discover San Bartolomé by walking through its landscapes, learning about its history and understanding the vast natural and cultural heritage they preserve. It is a way of enjoying the municipality whilst promoting responsible and sustainable tourism.

Each of the itineraries has been designed to offer a different experience that combines nature, heritage, archaeology, agriculture, history and tradition. It is accessible to participants of all backgrounds, including a route specially designed for families, in a participatory and enjoyable way.

The seven monthly walks (two in October!) will take place on Sundays, lasting three hours approximately and featuring varying levels of difficulty from low to medium. Most of the walks will start at 9am, whilst the family walk will begin at 10am.

All activities are completely free of charge, although places are limited, so it is essential to register in advance via WhatsApp on +34 646 032 160, where information on each of the routes will also be available.
