We’re often approached by tourists looking to book accessible accommodation in Lanzarote and it’s actually quite difficult to find out which hotels are suitable for disabled guests, so we’ve produced a shortlist of places to stay in Playa Blanca.
Suite Hotel Princesa Yaiza 5*

We can’t praise the Princesa Yaiza enough for the most disabled friendly hotel in Playa Blanca, their accessible information is clearly displayed as one of the suite types available on their website.
The suites for disabled guests are 65m² with a 12m² terrace and situated overlooking the hotel gardens or swimming pool. There is a ramp access available between the room and terrace. In the suite the wardrobe rail has been lowered in height and the safe deposit box is located at wheelchair height. In the bathroom there are fixed handles near the toilet, on the shower wall and by the bath, the shower is ground level with a folding shower screen for easy access. The room has a telephone with an emergency call switch for urgent assistance which can be reached from the bed.

The hotel has a BluOne chair which allows guests with limited mobility easy access to the swimming pool. There’s also a disabled friendly toilet situated in the main pool area.

Dream Gran Castillo 5*
Accommodation: All Inclusive
Accessible: Accessible facilities / Ramp access / Wheel chair access / Adapted rooms
There are 4 adapted rooms available at the Dream Gran Castillo in Playa Blanca, these are situated on the ground floor with a land view. Each of these rooms have been converted to allow wheelchair access, the internal doors are 85-90cm wide and are fitted with a roll in shower complete with grab rails. There is a swimming pool with ramp access for less abled guests.
Hesperia Playa Dorada 4*
Accommodation: Bed & Breakfast / Half Board / All Inclusive
Accessible: Accessible rooms / Ramp access / Wheelchair access / Wheelchair accessible elevators
There are 13 accessible standard rooms of 24 m² available for guests in wheelchairs at the Hesperia Playa Dorada, although only 2 of these have a walk in shower facility. There is no provision of a ramp access or hoist for disabled guests to use the swimming pools.
Deluxe guests using the deluxe restaurant have to use a service elevator to gain access.

H10 Timanfaya Palace 4*
Accommodation: Bed & Breakfast / Half Board / All Inclusive
Accessible: Disabled rooms / Swimming pool lift
The Timanfaya Palace is an adult only hotel and often frequented by disabled guests, especially for the annual Vuelta a Playa Blanca handbike race. The hotel has 9 standard rooms available with a walk in shower facility which can be allocated to wheelchair guests on request, but not guaranteed.
The large swimming pool at the Timanfaya Palace has a pool lift for physically challenged guests, please note that this pool is not heated.

Aparthotel Paradise Island 4*
Accommodation: All Inclusive
Accessible: Adapted Bungalow / Ramp access
There are 5 apartments adapted for disabled guests at the Paradise Island in Playa Blanca. The “bungalow adapted” rooms can be viewed on the 360 degree tour on the hotel’s website. The children’s section of the main swimming pool has a gentle slope which is suitable for wheelchair access and the on duty lifeguard is available for assistance as required.
