In what has turned out to be an epic day for Lanzarote, at 5PM this evening, the UK government announced that Lanzarote is to be given a “safe corridor” status with effect from 4AM on Sunday 25th October.
- Visitors from the UK will no longer be travelling against government advice, and therefore their travel insurance will be valid
- They will not be required to quarantine on return to the UK
Currently, there is no requirement for testing prior to arrival in Lanzarote, so the only thing necessary to travel is completion on the FCS Health Form which can be completed 48 hours before travel.
Earlier in the day, the German government announced the same, meaning two of our largest winter tourism markets are now able to travel to Lanzarote over the next few months.
After having many hotels, bars and restaurants closed during the summer season, Lanzarote is looking forward to welcoming many visitors over the next few months. The weather is currently gorgeous, the ocean is as warm as it gets, and we hope to see you soon.
