The Grandfather Bar is a new bar in Costa Teguise, located on Calle Las Acacias, opposite The Aquarium and close to Los Carmenes, and a short walk off the main Avenida de las Canarias.
They’re open from 0900 until midnight, so Lee and the team there are ready to serve you drinks at any time of the day, as well as a great selection of food.
Breakfast is served from 0900 until 1300, and you can enjoy English, Scottish and Irish versions, as well as their famous “Big breakfast.” The full english is amazing value at €3!
Lite bites are available from 1300 until 2200 and include a selection of rolls and sandwiches, as well as toasties and jacket potatoes.
Main courses are available from lunchtime and through until late, and you’ll find your favourite pub grub on the menu – things like hunter’s chicken, fajitas and steaks, all served with the right accompaniments.
You’ll also see regular specials on the menu – when we visited, we liked the sound of steak pie, chips, mushy peas and gravy.
The Grandfather Bar has regular happy hours every weekday and they have regular “Events” nights to enjoy sport or things like carnival. You can also hire the bar for private functions and parties.
There is seating in the bar, bar stools at the bar or on tables on the terrace. Dancing is positively encouraged!
Give them a try next time you are in Costa Teguise!
