The Five Most Popular Excursions In Lanzarote

We’re often asked which are the most popular excursions we can suggest on the island. It’s such a tough question to answer, because it depends what you like!

But we have analysed the excursions readers book through our pages, and we’ve come up with the five most popular excursions, so that should give you an indication of what’s good.

In reverse order:

5th – Aquapark Costa Teguise

The Aquapark provides a fun day out for all the family, with water slides, rapids and the chance to laze around sunbathing. There’s a pick up service available from other resorts.

4th – North Tour of Lanzarote

This is a coach trip taking in the beautiful north of the island. The scenery alone is worth the trip, but you also get to visit Omar Sharif’s old place, LagOmar, the Jameos del Agua, an aloe vera farm and more.

3rd – Buggy Tours

On this one you get to travel dirt roads driving a buggy and to see parts of Lanzarote most tourists never get to see on one of the most popular excursions. The buggies are great fun!

2nd – South Tour

Another coach trip – this one tours the south of Lanzarote, which of course, includes the spectacular landscape of the Timanfaya national park. You also get to visit the wine region and taste some, and there’s an optional camel ride.

1st – Discounted Tickets To The Seven Attractions

This surprised us, as it’s not really an excursion, as you travel under your own steam. But it shows that many of our readers are independent travellers and they like to hire cars and get around the island.

The best selling excursion is discounted tickets to visit Lanzarote’s seven official attractions. You can choose to visit 3, 4 or 6 attractions (the 7th is free) and save a packet on the entry price of each.

You can buy the discounted tickets at any of the seven official attractions – Jameos del Agua, Cueva de los Verdes, Timanfaya, Cactus Gardens, Mirador del Rio, Museo Campesino, MIAC Arrecife.

So those are the top five, but if none of those float your boat, you can see all the excursions available here:  Lanzarote Excursions.
