Our story
Julie and Mike are the founders, and we’ve lived on the island since 2001. We moved here from the UK with two young children who went through the school system here and are now adults.
We started Lanzarote Information in 2008, because it was really hard in those days to get good information about Lanzarote.
Since then, the website has grown to be one of the largest in The Canaries, with over 3 million visitors a year, around 200,000 followers on social media, and a huge audience of readers from all over the world.
We run the website from our offices in Haria, in the north of the island, but we spend our weeks travelling all over Lanzarote to stay up to date with everything going on here.
A key member of our team is Susana, our Puerto del Carmen, charity and live music expert, and who also looks after the vital “What’s On” section of the website. Susana is Spanish, but spent a few years living in Galway, Ireland.
Norman is our arts and culture guru, who covers Playa Blanca and writes reviews on almost every music, theatre and arts event on the island. Norman retired to Lanzarote a few years ago from the UK, and we’ve kept him busy ever since!
