British Government commits to giving citizens living abroad a vote
Currently British Citizens who have lived outside of the UK for 15 or more years cannot vote in general elections there. The government has recently published a policy statement saying they will remove the 15 year rule, although it’s not clear from the statement when this will take effect.
Environmental impact study may prevent new windmills in Tias
Tias Ayuntamiento has published a report that suggests the proposed sites of two new windmills in the municipality will violate the general island plan because they will be sited in areas where flora and fauna are protected.
