On the 25th of March 2023 the Awards Ceremony of the 2nd “Concurso de Quesos de Lanzarote”, the Lanzarote Cheese Awards, took place in Teguise as part of the Livestock, Agricultural and Fishing Fair that took place at the Agroindustrial Complex. It was organised by AQUAL -the Association of Artisan Cheese of Lanzarote, FASAT -Federation of Farming and Fishing Associations and the Cabildo of Lanzarote, of course.
19 prizes were awarded to 18 different cheeses from 8 local cheesemakers. These are the winners by category:
