Premios Qué Bueno Canarias Heineken 2019

The nominees for the 9th edition of the “TOP 10 Qué Bueno Canarias Heineken” gastronomy prizes have been announced.

The nominees are from all over the Canary Islands and are selected for these annual Prizes over 9 different categories of restaurant and best chef to come up with the Top Ten Best in the Canaries..

The Lanzarote nominees this year are:

Best Restauration Project:

Dunas de Famara in, ehem, Famara,
Liken in Playa Blanca
Kamezí Deli & Bistro in Playa Blanca.

Best Gastrobar:

Taberna El Bocadito in Costa Teguise.

Best Hotel Restaurant:

Altamar at the Arrecife Gran Hotel & Spa,
Isla de Lobos at the Princesa Yaiza Suite Hotel Resort in Playa Blanca
Kentia in Hotel La Isla y El Mar Hotel Boutique in Puerto del Carmen.

Best Internacional Cuisine:

Don Rafael Cantina in Puerto del Carmen (Mexican food)
Sebastyan´s in Playa Blanca (Greek food).

Best Spanish Cuisine and Market Cuisine:

Arena in Los Mojones in Puerto del Carmen and
La Casa Roja in Playa Blanca.

Best Canarian Cuisine, Traditional or Modern:

Lilium in Arrecife and
Brisa Marina in Playa Blanca.

Best Dining Room Service:

Isla de Lobos in Playa Blanca.

Best Restaurant:

El Risco in Caleta de Famara and
La Bodega de Santiago in Yaiza,

making a total of 16 restaurants nominated in Lanzarote,

Best Chef:

Adrián Rodríguez, from La Bodega de Santiago in Yaiza.

There is only one category with no nominations in Lanzarote and that is “Best Grill”.

The winners will be announced on the 10th of February at El Monumento al Campesino, in Lanzarote. It will surely be one of the highlight of the gastronomic events of the year among the professionals.

I have not heard of some of these restaurants and I am definitely intrigued now. I can’t wait to try them. And you? Have you tried them all?
