World Champion freediver Marianna Krupnitskaya and her partner Nick have been based in Lanzarote for some time and have offered training for freedivers from all over the world here, through their business Freediving Lanzarote.
They now have an ambitious plan to create Europe’s largest freediving project here on the island, based in Puerto Calero.
The new facility will have a club house and learning centre offering courses, workshops and coaching sessions. The club will also be equipped with state of the art safety equipment as well as a 7.5 metre rib to take divers to various sites on the island.
They’re looking to crowdfund the project – that means getting people to pre-register for coaching lessons, gift vouchers, free diving visits to Museo Atlantico and those payments go towards funding the new project.
