Rising Phoenix is a 2.5 hour beach buggy tour through the impressive wine region of Lanzarote, on some of the island’s best roads, and it culminates in an opportunity to learn about and make some of the island’s local delicacies!
You’ll drive from Yaiza in a retro beach buggy, through La Geria and then stop at Monumento al Campesino, which is right in the centre of the island. Once there, you’ll take part in a “Canary workshop.”
You can see the full route here:
Once you’ve completed your workshop, you’ll then mount your beach buggy again for the return to Yaiza.
The total tour time is 2.5 hours.
The buggies are really special – although they have the full vintage beach buggy look, they use modern four cylinder engines and automatic gearboxes, so they are super easy to drive. They also seat four, so the kids can come along, and they are fitted with bluetooth stereos, so you can enjoy your own music while driving in convoy.
This tour is priced at €110 for two people in a beach buggy, €140 for three and €170 for four. The tour is every Wednesday and it departs Yaiza at 0930, returning at around 1200.
Aim to arrive at 0900 to complete the paperwork, and any drivers must bring their licences and a passport or ID Card. You’ll need to wear closed footwear.
There are toilet facilities at Yaiza, and you’ll have the opportunity to buy soft drinks there before and after your tour, as well as some very cool merchandise.
To book, complete the form below, and we will check availability for your dates and then we’ll send you a payment link for a 15% deposit – you pay the balance when you arrive.
We can arrange a private transfer for you from your accommodation to the buggy start point. €15 each way from Puerto del Carmen and Playa Blanca, and €30 from Costa Teguise, for up to 4 people. Larger groups enquire for price.
