Viva Pirata is a 3.5 hour beach buggy tour which will take you through the spectacular wine region of Lanzarote, to Teguise, the historic capital of the island and on a visit to the Pirate Museum perched at the top of the island, in Castillo Santa Barbara, with the most incredible views of the island.

Here’s the full route:

Mounting back up, you’ll drive your buggy back to Yaiza, via Monumento Campesino.

The total tour time is 3.5 hours.

The Buggies

The buggies are really special – although they have the full vintage beach buggy look, they use modern four cylinder engines and automatic gearboxes, so they are super easy to drive. They also seat four, so the kids can come along, and they are fitted with bluetooth stereos, so you can enjoy your own music while driving in convoy.

The Price

This tour is priced at €130 for two people in a beach buggy, €160 for three and €190 for four. The tour is every Thursday and it departs Yaiza at 1300, returning at around 1630.

Aim to arrive at 0900 to complete the paperwork, and any drivers must bring their licences and a passport or ID Card. You’ll need to wear closed footwear.

There are toilet facilities at Yaiza, and you’ll have the opportunity to buy soft drinks there before and after your tour, as well as some very cool merchandise.
