This is a two hour beach buggy tour of the south of the island in fabulous retro beach buggies.
You’ll head from Yaiza, up to Femés, where you’ll have a short stop to see the amazing view of Playa Blanca and Fuerteventura. Then you’ll carry on down the hill to Playa Blanca, and drive along to the lighthouse, via the amazing red mountain, Montaña Roja.
You can see the full route on the map below.
You’ll enjoy a short chat about the flora and fauna of the area, before mounting up and going to La Salinas de Yaiza, the Yaiza salt production site, before finishing up at Yaiza.
There will be several stops en route to give you a chance to take your own photos and to enjoy scenic Lanzarote.
The total tour time is 2 hours.
The buggies are really special – although they have the full vintage buggy look, they use modern four cylinder engines and automatic gearboxes, so they are super easy to drive. They also seat four, so the kids can come along, and they are fitted with bluetooth stereos, so you can enjoy your own music while driving in convoy.
This buggy tour is priced at €90 for two people in a buggy, €130 for three and €150 for four. This tour is every Thursday and departs at 0930, returning to Yaiza at around 1130. Aim to arrive at 0900 to complete the paperwork, and any drivers must bring their licences and a passport or ID Card. You’ll need to wear closed footwear.
There are toilet facilities at Yaiza, and you’ll have the opportunity to buy soft drinks there before and after your tour, as well as some very cool merchandise.
To book, complete the form below, and we will check availability for your dates and then we’ll send you a payment link for a 15% deposit – you pay the balance when you arrive.
We can arrange a private transfer for you from your accommodation to the buggy start point. €15 each way from Puerto del Carmen and Playa Blanca, and €30 from Costa Teguise, for up to 4 people. Larger groups enquire for price.
